Nature can be experienced by different people, in different ways - who knew?!
Huge thank you and congratulations to Ollie Olanipekun and the team at @openarea_ for bringing such a bold and energetic offering to London's Camley Street last week - a true collision of arts, nature, style, music, design and performance.
It was a pleasure to make a small contribution in the form of a live podcast recording with the London National Park City crew.
I buddied up with fellow mischief maker, the one and only Imogen Malpas FRSA of clubs0l for a discussion we titled "Sip, scratch, sculpt: the arts of making contact with nature" where we talked about how we are both expansively thinking about what constitutes ‘art’ and ‘art-informed’ engagement with nature; the accidental stereotypes that can emerge around what nature is and how it should be experienced and how we're putting edged-out communities at the centre. Stay tuned for the recording link!
