Exhibition: Loops Made 2 Hold Us // Take Care 2 Gether.wav 14-16 July @ Metroland Cultures, Kilburn

Made of sounds, clay, Brent-ish water, and sunlight captured in the Caribbean, these cyclical loops were made 2 hold us. A space for things to fall in and out of synchronicity, and take form in the company of each other.

I am honoured to be part of the inaugural peer-to-peer artist development cohort at Metroland Cultures, the home of the Brent Biennale and a place to celebrate NW London creators, connect artists with communities and support young people. Next week we present an outro and a family portrait with a weekend of collective offerings. I’ll be presenting some new work-in-progress A Wet Fiction and holding some informal drop-in sessions.

“Loops Made 2 Hold Us // Take Care 2gether.wav” features myself, Ocean Baulcombe-Toppin @oceanloren , Bediah @bediahh , Bill Daggs @billdaggs , Dita Hashi @antiwage , James Jordan Johnson @bluenotevessel , Nilik Khimani @nilikkhimani and Yasmin Nicholas @whatyasmindoes and forms part of Collective Rhythms programme at Metroland.

PV 14 July 6pm-9pm, open. 15 & 16 July 2023 10am – 3pm
